Hello! So this will be my first lesson! Basically, I want to do it this way – take a sentence(s)or phrase(s) out of some book, article or other material, first translate it and the examine it in terms of grammar and vocabulary. For the start, I want to start with the first sentence from the japanese translation of „The Little Prince”by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. 僕が六歳だったときにのことだ。『ほんとうにあった話』という原生林のことを書いた本で、すごい絵を見た。猛獣を飲みこもうとしている、大蛇ボアの絵だった。 It happened when I was 6 years old. In the book about virgin forests, titled „A story that really happened” I saw an incredible picture. It was a picture o big boa snake trying to swallow a wild animal. VOCABULARY 原生林(げんせいりん) -„primeval or virgin forest” 猛獣(もうじゅう) - „wild or ferocious animal”, beast 大蛇(だいじゃ) lit. Big snake, python or boa-like GRAMMAR ~おうとする、おうとしている it means to „try doing sth”, the word before „to suru” can be any verb, ex. I tried to stop her, I tried to get inside
